Top Regionally and Nationally Accredited Online Schools

While there are many different lists out there, here is our list of the top regionally and nationally accredited online schools for 2012.

1. University of California, Berkeley

2. University of Massachusetts, Boston

3. Loyola University

4. Walden University

5. University of New Jersey

Why only five? Well, we wanted to give you quality, not quantity. UC Berkeley has long been known for its excellent education. It has been very competitive for students to be accepted to the university, and many of the professors and students there are renowned as experts in their fields of study. In fact, when they opened an online program, there was a big controversy over it. Many people thought an online program would decrease the quality of education offered to those students. (It also rained on the parade of all those students who felt proud that they had been accepted to the school, and they didn’t want to enlarge the exclusive club.) While Berkeley may be at the top, there are many other top online schools that are regionally and nationally accredited.

Tip 1 on How to Get Good Grades. Eliminate All Distractions

Put aside all forms of mediums regarding communication when you are studying. This is tip 1 on how to get good grades. Because to get good grades, you cannot have any distractions when you are memorizing information as these may hamper your progress and the slower you memorize something, the faster and more information you will forget the moment you take a break from studying. Distractions like mobile phones, when your friends keep messaging you, the noise of the tone, will distract you and prevent you from studying. This is also one of the tips for how to study effectively. Studying in front of your television might not be the best of idea because the tv programs will seem as if they are especially interesting when you’re studying. The reason for this is because studying is very boring, and any kind of tv programs will of course be more interesting and entertaining than your textbooks. So avoid all of these and your study efficiency will boom like a rocket.

Scholarships for Moms Changes Lives!

The new administration of Obama has started to invest money on the people. The condition of the economy will change only when the people are education. This is the main reason for the government to start the scholarships for moms. The trend has set in, where children are left without parents. The single mothers count has increased to a great extent. Many young moms have dropped out from their university. They look out for jobs that can meet their expenses. They have no time to go to school or university to complete their studies. The government has taken the right step at the right time. This is one good way to minimize the count of unemployment. Education is a must for a good future. It builds your life and the outlook of the economy. The government needs to be appreciated for what it has done to the society. Single mothers are encouraged to fulfill their dreams and have a wonderful family.

Core Algebraic Concepts

Today we are going to discuss two important and basic concepts of algebra. The importance of these concepts is evident from the fact that whole edifice of the algebra is built on this primary concept. Yes I am talking about Algebraic Arithmetic and how to do basic operations of addition and subtraction over algebraic expression.

For example, we have 5y. 5 is a constant as its value remains permanent in a given problem. Y is a variable; its value may change from problem to problem. Some time the variable has a power or index or exponent on it e.g. 2z2. The small 2 is power/index of z i.e. the variable.

Rule No. 1: Two or more algebraic terms can only be added or subtracted when they have the same variable and power. 4y and 5b cannot be added. Only 5y and 4y could be added.

Example: Find the sum of 5b and 2b.

Let us write it.

+5b

2b

———-

7b

Let us see how to subtract:

5b

2b

——

3b

During subtraction we change the sign/operator with the number to opposite. E.g. if it is – (minus) we’ll change it to + (plus).

Rule No. 2: Signs or Operators with the constants are very important. We put the sign of the bigger number with the answer if. E.g. in the addition of -6t and 2t the result will be -4t.

I hope this small tutorial will help you solve simple algebraic arithmetic. For difficult problems like that you encounter at college level like first order deferential equations and polynomials, I would recommend using algebrator; wonderful mathematical software that helps you finish your math homework in no time. Till then happy Algebra!
